Kate will center putting our students and community first by:

  • Making sure that EVERY student has the tools and support that they need to excel

  • Supporting our student’s freedom to learn through providing a comprehensive and honest education that equips them for real-world success

  • Making sure that your hard-earned money is being used responsibly

Supporting our Educators and Staff

Our educators and staff work incredibly hard every single day to provide all students with an excellent education.

That’s why Kate will advocate for:

  • Proper compensation to attract and retain our best educators and staff.

  • Working to create a more collaborative environment where educators and staff can feel heard

  • Adequate funding for services that directly help our students, including students with intellectual and developmental disabilities

Integrity and Trust

It is critical that our school board is open, honest, transparent, and collaborative.

That’s why Kate will work to:

  • Provide recordings of all public meetings, including committee hearings, something she has done as a community member for the past three years

  • Allow for public comment at committee hearings

  • Provide for school board “office hours” to allow community members greater opportunity to make their voice heard.
